So, what’s the difference?
As similar as both the plants and oils are, there are crucial differences between hemp and cannabis. It is easy to be confused by the terminology, especially as a consumer who doesn’t know the basics. Hearing products advertised as “cannabis oil” and “marijuana oil” can falsely inform you of what a product actually holds. Let’s look at hemp oil and CBD oil to learn how to distinguish the two.

Hemp Oil:

Hemp oil is extracted fromthe seeds of the hemp plant. While essential oils can be extracted from all plants in the cannabis genus, industrial hemp is the ONLY plant used for hemp oil. Industrial hemp is a type of hemp producedspecifically to be repurposed, often by being spun into usable fibers.
Also, the amount of psychoactive substances found in hemp is minimal, further separating it from marijuana-derived oils.
Hemp oil is great for cooking and skincare, most commonly, because it is full of essential nutrients. It can provide a crispy, nutty taste when added to foods and can be a wonderful replacement for olive oil in salads. It’s a great natural moisturizer that can be used after a shower or before applying your makeup. As awesome as it is for topical use, it is equally practical in lifestyle application. Hemp oil is used as a base for different forms of plastic instead of petroleum. It is often used in the production of paints that are more eco-friendly than petroleum-based paints, encouraging a more natural than chemical product. It can be used as bio-diesel fuel, like other vegetable oils, and is all around better for the planet and environment.

CBD Oil:

CBD oil is the short form of the term cannabidiol oil. Cannabidiol is a natural component of industrial hemp. It is made from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of hemp and not from its seeds, like hemp oil. CBD oil has become very popular in the medical industry because it can be helpful in the treatment of various conditions without the typical intoxicating effects of marijuana use or side effects of OTC’s.

_______
What’s the Bottom Line?
Hemp and marijuana are cousins in the plant world, but marijuana has a much higher THC content than hemp. Hemp oil contains low levels of CBD – typically under 25 parts per million – while CBD oil can be up to 15% CBD. Because the plants are related, some deceitful sellers of hemp oil are trying to market it for its medicinal value, which is minor. Here at ENVEED, we offer you the purest,

Celebrating Veterans Day with CBD: How Can CBD Help Veterans?

November 11, 2020 3 min read

Today we celebrate the people who have given everything in the pursuit of our freedom. Tragically conventional medicine has failed these stewards of humanity. We lose 20 veterans a day to suicide. This stark number exists because of many factors but depression, anxiety, and opiate abuse are at the top of the list. Thankfully with the passing of the 2018 Farm bill, CBD is finally more affordable and devoid of any cannabis from seed to product. This change in production has opened up the doors for people seeking or requiring a THC-free form of pain and anxiety management.
